The SyberJet relaunch with the SJ36 opens a bold new chapter in business aviation with the introduction of the all new SJ36 light jet by SyberJet Aircraft. This aircraft is designed to deliver high performance in a single pilot, nine seat configuration and to reposition SyberJet in the light aircraft market.
Behind the Relaunch

This relaunch follows a strategic shift at SyberJet Aircraft, a company that originally evolved from the SJ30 series. The SJ36 program is a complete transformation from the prior SJ30 2 model and shows the company’s commitment to next generation design and systems.
The program was formally announced in September 2025, with certification targeted for 2032.
Breaking Performance Barriers

The SJ36 is engineered to push the limits of the light jet class with these targeted specifications:
- Maximum operating Mach number of Mach 0.88.
- Range of up to 3,000 nautical miles.
- Service ceiling of 49,000 feet.
- A cabin differential pressure of 12 psi for sea level cabin conditions up to around 41,000 ft.
- Maximum takeoff weight estimated at 18,500 pounds.
- Single pilot certification in a nine seat layout.
These specifications position the aircraft to serve routes once reserved for midsize jets, including nonstop flights such as Los Angeles to Hawaii.
Intelligent Systems for a New Era

The relaunch highlights technological progress through the proprietary SyberVision avionics suite and modern systems architecture. The cockpit will have six high definition touchscreens, full fly by wire flight controls, integrated autothrottle and autopilot, and secure over the air updates. Another innovation is a zero emissions auxiliary power unit (APU) rated at 14 kW, which allows for remote cabin conditioning and remote diagnostics via smartphone or tablet connectivity.
The aircraft’s interior offers a truly elevated experience with rear owner seats that are approximately 30 percent wider than standard light-jet seats, premium materials, customizable accent lighting, and the largest lavatory in the segment.
A New Market Position: Bridging the Jet Category Gap

With a projected price near $14 million, the SJ36 aims to close the gap between traditional light jets and midsize business jets. The design is claimed to cut charter costs on select nonstop routes by up to 50 percent compared to larger aircraft.
The relaunch also has wider implications for manufacturing and jobs: SyberJet expects to create over 1,500 jobs across Arizona, Texas and Utah in the next four years.
A Timeline for Takeoff

Development is now underway, targeting a first flight in 2027 and full certification in 2032. Since many key figures are still projections, there is inherent risk from supply chain constraints, regulatory approvals, and schedule execution, which is typical for new aircraft programs.
A New Contender Enters the Fray
The light jet category is changing as competitors introduce models that push range, speed, and cabin size. The SJ36 aims to disrupt this space by combining high speed, long range, and single pilot capability in a light jet form factor.
Its key differentiators include the extended cabin, which is 4 feet longer than its predecessor, advanced systems, and the intended high performance metrics.
The SyberJet Mission

This relaunch signals SyberJet’s strategy to regain its position in business aviation. By introducing the SJ36 with greater capabilities, modern avionics, and renewed manufacturing ambition, the company aims to redefine what a light jet can achieve.
With the relaunch now in motion, SyberJet is setting a course to challenge conventional limits in the light jet segment.
