“Big Bunny” Graces the Skies Once Again.
Hugh Hefner, the creative mind behind the Playboy empire, bought a private jet in 1970 for $5.5 million, earning it the nickname the “Mansion in the Sky.” Many famous stars, including Elvis, Cher, and Frank Sinatra, graced the sumptuous insides of the “Big Bunny” during the five years Hefner put it to use. Staffed by Playboy bunnies, guests were treated to a fantasy experience among the clouds. Hefner sold the original private jet in 1975, ending an era of decadent extravagance.
Surprisingly the iconic machine is taking to the skies once again in the form of a $12 million Bombardier Global Express BD-700. Now, an even more posh “Big Bunny” is taking to the skies, ready to whisk away influencers, celebrities, artists, and other leaders, who want an over-the-top private jet experience. Richie Shazam was one of the guests on the jet’s maiden voyage to Art Basel Miami. The trip was made to launch the company’s new lifestyle brand, Big Bunny, along with celebrating the reincarnation of the jet.

Modern Luxury, with a Timeless Style.
Playboy’s inhouse design team and International Jet Interiors wanted to create a superb experience for guests with luxurious interiors that are a throwback to the 1970s. These include embossed leather wall coverings and sheepskin pilots’ seats. A three-tiered seafood tower is served to guests, alongside a lavish dining experience. Hefner’s favorites, roast beef, lobster, and whiskey, will tempt all who come on board the “Big Bunny,” and will be served with hand-blown glassware, gold-rimmed porcelain, and embroidered napkins.
Artwork from the Playboy archives collection provides visionary delight for the private jet’s guests, while the Sky Theater system gives a cinematic adventure many have never experienced before. Another nod to the 70s includes the multicolored lighting system, which makes the passenger area a disco. Every guest can have a different journey on the “Big Bunny” private jet, depending on where they are inside. The jet’s exterior is a glossy black embossed with the familiar and iconic rabbit head. It even has the original N950PB registration number on its tail.
