The Cessna Citation XLS and XLS+, updated versions of the Citation Excel and among the fastest jets in the Citation family, are twin turbofan-powered, mid-size, business jets built by Cessna Aircraft Company.
“The Citation XLS+® combines transcontinental range, first-class cabin comfort for up to 12 passengers and remarkable performance efficiency in a beautiful midsize jet. Loaded with features generally reserved for a large, commercial aircraft, the Citation XLS+ will take your business global. Sit back and enjoy the ride”
The Citation XLS was announced as an upgraded version and the official successor of the Citation Excel in 2003. The Citation XLS features a new cockpit design with advanced avionics and more powerful engines with FADEC controls. In 2008, Cessna introduced the XLS+ with next-generation avionics and redesigned exterior and interior. As a result of the improved engine design, the XLS and XLS+ attain faster speeds and greater range than the Excel. Both models outclass most other jets in the class. The XLS can reach its flight level of 43,000 feet in less than half an hour while the Excel takes over an hour. Also, the jet can take off on runways as short as 3,500 feet, a performance level unrivalled by any other midsize jet. The cabin has a dropped aisle, allowing passengers to stand and move around comfortably. The interior also includes extra-wide seats, a side facing sofa, and an aft private bathroom that is large enough to double as a dressing room.
The Citation XLS+® seats up to 12 passengers and includes features reserved for large, commercial aircraft. The spacious cabin of the Citation XLS+ is comparable to the interior of a midsize-jet with comfortable headroom. Its huge luggage compartment is perfect for golfing – and skiing trips, as well as business trips with substantial luggage.
